What is a Pathfinder?

Dictionary.com offers the following definition …

Pathfinder (n) — a person who finds or makes a path, way, route, etc.,esp. through a previously unexplored or untraveled wilderness.

For us, the paths are already there but may well have become clouded or lost through the passage of time and loss of the cultures of the indigenous peoples of the Earth.

Mankind as a who has lost its way and much of its connection … and harmonious spirit … with the Natural World and that which the Creator created.

For us, a Pathfinder is a person who makes the commitment to push forward and seek out the spiritual and philosophical paths that lead towards a harmonious balance and existence with our brothers and sisters of the Natural World, with Mother Earth, and with the Creator.

We set aside our selfish desires and seek instead to help others however possible in finding their paths just as we continue to find our own.

We are far from perfect, but we continue to walk the paths that lead us with each step closer and closer to Spirit.

We learn to listen to the natural flow of life, creation and spirit as it flows around us.

We learn to listen to the whispers within the flow that help us to find our way.

Ours is a path that honors life and finds us embracing an individualized nature-based spirituality and philosophy — one that can cross religious and cultural lines to find what works for the individual and the community.

It is not about religion as it is about the way we walk through life and how our spiritual path embraces the Ways of the Earth and following the Red Road.

We are stewards of the Natural World and Mother Earth even as we seek to serve as examples to others demonstrated quite simply through our own personal walks.

We serve the Creator and are threads in the great mystery of his Creation.
