Keep Following The River

When I had a vision of two paths on opposite sides of the same river, I did not realize at first the depth of what I was seeing.

One path is that of the Native Americans.

It is more complete and much more visible as those of this culture and way of life have only in recent history come upon the hardships that sought to push them off this path.

The other is that of the Celtic tribes.

Unlike the path of the Native Americans, the Celtic path has been washed over by the passage of time as the tribes of this culture were pushed away from their path centuries before the coming of the Europeans to the Americas.

The Celtic path has been washed away in places and overgrown in others.

This does not mean it is still not there as it is, one simply has to search it out.

Which one is the right path?

Both can be and both are not alone.

From different sides and in different ways, both paths follow the same spiritual river and offer the chance to end up in the same place.

And those two paths are not the only ones out there as if you search hard enough, you will find paths of different shapes and sizes … from different cultures and peoples.

The path you follow does not matter as much as making sure you are following the river that leads to Great Spirit.

For the People of the Whispering Grove, we realize that we have no set path before us and so are creating a new path that like those before us … follows the same river.

Another lesson of the river is how the further you travel along a river, the more pure the water will become.

Look to those places where children play in the river. Just up from this, people bath. Just up from this, people wash dishes and clothing. Just up from this, cattle cool in the river while urinating and other such within its waters.

A river can become polluted, of this there is no doubt.

Looking back at my own walk, I realize that I have followed certain spiritual paths while following the river that were not quite right … yet it is because of the lessons learned from those moments that I am where I am … further up the river.

In my youth, the waters may have been more clouded or polluted, but with each step taken … the waters become cleaner and more pure.

If we continue to follow the river and learn from the lessons it teaches us, we will find that one day we are sitting at the source where the flow is clean and pure.

Respectfully,
